I wouldn’t say you botched it, it’s a style thing, there are different setup for everyone, for that style a 7 tooth may be more fun!I sure botched operating the saws that day, without a doubt. I was trying to let them sit on the dogs and pry on them, to feel the difference in torque. It sure made me look an ass lol. The Solo has more low end, but the Husky has more speed.
The Husky liked 8500-9500 in the cut, where the Solo could be lugged down to 7000, and even lower, and still keep going. Old school torque, for sure.
I’m a sucker for torque, so I’m very happy with how it turned out. The best thing is; I also have a @Moparmyway 395, so I get to have my cake and eat it too
And yes, we ran some other ported saws with less bar and smaller sprockets. Got less than 1/4 through the log, and just shut her down. The difference was that big. I remember thinking “Is this thing on?” Both the Husky and the Solo are that much more powerful than anything else I’ve ran.
That bar looks familiar
If I was big as you I wouldn't worry about running anything under 80cc
No wonder you can't color inside the lines lolLol. Gotta have options. Lol
That's about where my 394 liked to run while milling, before it was ported. Haven't tried after yet.The Husky liked 8500-9500 in the cut.

It's like it's not even there.Yep put a new tip on it and I like it a lot, no Dall wouldn't run the Husky.
