The solo’s fuel system will be gone through and the exhaust uncapped further.

It seems to be filling and then sucking the bowl dry. Issue could be anywhere from the fuel filter to the metering lever the way I see it.
Agree 100 % could be anything. Keep us poasted :).

My ported 038 took to acting that way recently. A few years ago, I had the same on a ported 036. That one turned out to be an ethanol "enhanced" (read stiff) diaphragm in the carb. It happened at a GTG and I had to put it away before I melted it down. It was an easy fix with a kit back at home on that one.

BTW, nice work! That thing has some serious nut.

Whoa whoa. Hold your horses there boy. Don't get all goofy on us now. LolYou got more Dolkitas coming too. Be straight now.
And change your name to Dolmarboy. LMAO

The awakening process comes later for some, but eventually we all see the Dolmar light. :ARMS1::aaaaa:

I bought a little smurf version of the 421 years ago direct out of Germany from a fleaBay seller.

It's saved my butt more times than any other saw I own. It always runs well , cuts bigger than it should and everybody wants one after running it.

I kept getting calls to take out trees like this, so I decided to acquire a 64/7910. That little Japanese Husky in the pic is a bad little biatch also.

just testing and lookin for more gainz. found a little.

9pin 28" full comp 3/8ths. This is Archer chain from down under. Seems pretty good and it's cheap. Will sell my chains from testing cheap if anyone interested.

Are the gains from the cheap chain?
Lol

I've been running Archer chain for about a year now. It stretches a bit when new but cuts nice, sharpens easy, really likes to be square ground.

Ground, key word there. I tried a loop. It lasted as long as Stihl cutters in dirty wood. Stopped using it because if you file it it's a *b-word after hitting sand and "rockin" the chain. Buy good files if you use it. Should be great on the mill.
Anyone running those Archer long bars?
I think the Flying Dutchman had a 5x" Archer on his saw.

I've only filed it a little and it seems softer than a stihl chain, the chrome I think it pretty thick.

Spent the day testing and tuning @SOS Ridgerider Solo 603. Saw runs damn good, but @Moparmyway 395 held 500 more rpm in the cut than it did.

The Solo had a bit more lean on power, possibly better for milling or a very long bar. It’s 103cc vs. the 395’s 95cc.

These are the testing vids. The 603 is a very good saw, but the 395 design is simply better (the porter as well). It’s likely the narrow piston skirts, the relatively small carb and the odd transfer design that holds it back.

The tip was buried, so the bar kept jamming with chips.

Hoping to try both saws out with longer bars at some point. These are pulling 36” 404RS with an 8pin.

603 vs 395
