It’s advanced some. It does have a limited but I haven’t tried to check it with a tach

It just sounds like its pinging and popping hard to me.

Mike the I was doing to ask if the timing had been advanced, it does sound like it's popping. Looks nice strong non the less.

Duane's 036. Set at 13500. Came out at 14700. Turned back down pig fat for last run.

Held 10200-11000 in the cut with 32" factory square.

Al, what one do you prefer between the two saws, 036 or 361 once ported? The 036 sounds stronger in the cut. Both look good. I have both with base gasket deletes and prefer the 361 but I like the way that 036 sounds! In small wood it may be a different story too

Sounds like its just not being loaded hard enough to me. In the vid, when its loaded, theres no popping. 5xx saws sound funny lol.

No popping at all under a moderate load. Ignition isn't advanced nearly far enough for that. I never felt it kick while starting it

It looked like the 036 has more grunt. My 361 has a noticeable advantage over the 036 but I run a 20” bars on them. I would like to see a video of the new recipe 361..

The other 361 advantage is that it will accept a 460/460HO oiler as a bolt on. So you could theoretically get by with one saw for nearly all of your cutting.
