My Chinese clone MS660 has never been 100% right so I pulled the seals tgat came with the kit and found the flywheel side had been sucking air.

New seals, cross performance cylinder with the exhaust raised and rounded from 104* to 101* and a Hyway popup piston.
Ended up at 101/120/82 with a gasket and .024 squish.

Goes good too.
Dry old timber with 404 full chisel

We also recently had a gtg here in Aus and the property owner, being a touch eccentric, pushed in a path to a big log he wanted us to cut out so he could drag it back to the camp with the dozer.
I lugged one of my 084’s with a 42” bar down to do the job.
Was a challenge on very steep loose ground and my saw was really rich and stalling out as we were at about 1000 meters altitude and it was tuned for sea level.

The mad bugger standing on the log is an old logger and friend of the land owner.
He wasn’t part of the gtg crew.

I don't like how soft the guy has to be to keep the chain speed up in fresh cut green wood. I don't see that kind of power being very popular in the northwest woods.
That’s why I liked the 572 when I ran it. Good powerband and more low end grunt than any stock 372 I’ve ran. It has a good combination of rpm and torque.
