This saw was a gift from some outstanding people on this forum. I have never been given anything before, let alone something I have a passion for and will use. I don't have words for the gratitude I feel.

It was an emotional ordeal for me.

I havent gotten to use it extensively as she needs a couple odds and ends, but my goodness...I see why the 281/288 have such a following. A truly gusty machine, 28" bar with a very aggressive chain and an 8 pin...didn't even break a sweat.

Last juan to test in this wood. This is an 064 with a 650 cylinder. it hung a ring and Shaun fixed it with a bit of different #s than he typically would've used. Turned out pretty decent

Them ported up saws is just too dang loud.

Can't y'all find some way to make them quieter? I'm scared of loud noises.

One more thing I've noticed......they sorta stink too. Nasty beasts.

We shortened the windings in our slot car motors when I was a kid. Less resistance = more RPM.
