Only Hooskie I have has an issue with a garbage plastic tie wrap strap that is holding on an intake partition. Lol
That little Stihl 024 was good for your Granpa for years of good cutting. With many more good years ahead of it. Just show it some love.

I put a 372 clamp on a 350 and cut off the plastic garbage. 024 needs ported lol :)...eventually.

Maybe I can bring my Hooskie to the CT gtg and get a spot at the Hooskie fixin table. I'll bring my tools, and I'll fix it with some help?
Just have to give the working Stihls the day off. LMAO

Matty runs that Hooskie fixin table.

Saws fat at 12.9k on 3rd tank. Clipped a few knots. Thought it turned out pretty good for gasket delete/opened muffler/ignition advance. Decent looking cylinder only a small amount of casting flash I cleaned up a bit and matched the ports. I was really leaning on it on few of the cuts. It definitely has some torque advantage over a 385.

complaining that a 30 year old stihl needs a little work:facepalm:

not complaining about a 10 year old husky needing a complete rebuild:facepalm:
It was a pile of parts to make a complete saw. It was ran over by a skidder or tree at some point in its life. Who knows what it went through. New top end and back to the woods.

460 is my favorite stihl model. Enough that I have 2 in service...the third is...uh...a sammich.
How many board feet did you say you had on your 460 hyway cylinder again? :)

Gonna rebuild it Nick?
Yah, the cases are good still, as are all the guts.

That's the same saw that got squashed. Has 3 something million feet on it. The chassis/cases have over 10. Will be the first time it's had a tank swapped on it. Saw needs a tank, handle bar, couple of mounts...
