Last I seen the ram quit after 17 for manual.

Manual Transmission are going the way of the Do Do Bird! When I purchased the Escape, I told them I wanted a manual, they said it was only available with the 4 cyl 2 wheel drive! WTF???

Luckily, the 6 speed auto (and 4-V V-6) seem to work out well, but I would have opted for a stick it if was available. If I set the cruise control when towing the trailer and ATV on Rte 17 (very steep hills) it will sometimes double downshift, but it keeps the set speed, which is nice. I must admit with a manual trans, it would not be able to do that.

Truth is their trannies were actually well built, there epic fail was lowering the operating pressure to make it shift "nicer". Put a shift kit in out of the gate, and it'll run with that Allison, and with a better power pack!
When I towed my 24000 pound lull around, it was with a 24 valve auto. Try that with your dmax...[emoji41]

It'll pull it. Will it stop it? If a doodge can then I say yes.

My Duramax would tow your Dodge truck with your Lull trailer. LOL. [emoji41]

Everyone knows Dodge trucks Achilles Heel is their trannys. They are the worst of the 2 big trucks.
They can be built stronger and better, as any of them can. But stock from the dealer, Ford's are much better.

It's much nicer with them but I've hauled tractors, cattle, and hay without them. Probably pushing over 20k a few times.
