Here is a video from a few days ago. My chain is really bad. Thus I didn't post the video. But saw ran well and trying to get back on track with some saw videos.
Stihl MOFO 460 running 24" bar, 3/8 full chisel Oregon chain, cutting very hard Rosewood.
I took 12 strokes off each raker to make a very angry chain. I do not like the rakers this low. I do not like how jumpy and grabby it makes the saw cut. Saw tuned at 15200.
I posted this so I can do a comparison cut with a new bar and chain.
Hey, you got one of them tach holders. [emoji106]Yeah you can tell the rakers are a little low. It's kinda like tires on a performance car. Got to find what feeds good and still be smooth.
I had a couple failed vids the other day and only kept this one cutting some small dry oak.
On a brand new chain I have been known to deepen the gullet a couple strokes and take a solid swipe off the rakers. Especially if I'm bucking clean pine
