I am with you Mike. .325 7 pin I think does fine fir my liking. 3/8 really makes the saw work hard, and doesn't seem to cut that much faster.I like how mine cuts with 325.

I just timed my cuts. They were all pretty close. The 3/8 was about 1 second or .75 seconds faster per cut. To me, that doesn't seem extremely significant. The 3/8 grabs hard, and I noticed a little more spooge on the exhaust. Maybe I should have leaned the tune a little. The .325 flys through the cut. For me, the .325 7 pin seems to work best for the 026. I don't know, maybe I am just getting old.
I work alone, so for me, a good safe smooth cutting chain works. I sharpen chain every other tank. I do it religiously, regardless of what size chain I use.
.325 is smoother but 3/8 lasts longer
