I caution every one not to make their hobby their work, or it will no longer be their hobby!
Luckily it is not how I make ends meet, so I can pick and choose what I want to do and when I want to do it. It is also nice to go to a job will all saws sharpened, filters cleaned, and ready to go. It would be tough to do that day after day.
A few days a week keeps it interesting and gives me time to do other things. Time with the Grandkids, a day at the range, a couple of days up at the property, some bike riding or hiking, etc.
Other than during Tax Season, it ain't bad ... just that 2 weeks in April that kills me! Then, I would rather be out side! But is is not 9-5. On Sat I left the house at 9am, then did several at my house, then did 3 up in Duchess Cty after dinner and got home at 1/4 to 11, and that is not unusual for this time of year, and I go 7 days/week. So working like a dog for 2 & 1/2 months gives me the luxury of having free time most of the rest of the year. It works for me.
