I put this in the other thread but hell.... haven't put up many hybrid vids lately.

The chain was aggressive and the saw was tuned to 15,200. Almost hard to keep it in the wood
Next gtg I wanna run that rig.

Curious. What's the Deeter theory on the "upward" strap cut?

It was a heavy leaner, when the last bit of wood breaks it lifts up and away from the bar. If your cutting down toward your back if it can pinch your bar and when the tree goes it flings your saw. I learned that from B rad and the flyin 390

Zactly..i learned the hard way on my come up and sent a few down the runway into flight...it happens to the best of em'

I think level would work just as well as long as your final cut is NOT above your original cut.

On second thought, your angle cut may give you more margin for error. Still thinking!!!
