That was a Mahle cylinder
Building alcohol 250cc bike motors we always increased the cc of the chamber.I feel the bigger the chamber, the more air/fuel you can trap above the piston. The more air/fuel you can trap/burn, the higher potential for power output.
It does run goodThat was a Mahle cylinder

That's over my head but I bet there is.Is there a theoretical ratio of how big the combustion chamber should be?
What angle did you cut the taper ?My 066 has .050 cut from the cylinder wall tapered up to the chamber, then another .020 cut flat. If it was all cut flat it would've been 240 psi. It lives at 215 and has a little more chamber than being just flat as well
I like the idea of a dual angle on the band.My 066 has .050 cut from the cylinder wall tapered up to the chamber, then another .020 cut flat. If it was all cut flat it would've been 240 psi. It lives at 215 and has a little more chamber than being just flat as well
That was crazy awesome.Yeh.
Best running 395 I've had my mits on.
Lot of time and skill involved in it.
Takes a very very good 066 cylinder to beat it or run with it.
My 394's will get it in certain situations but not others.
The main difference between it and a 394 is the 395 has a little more forgiveness on and off the throttle where the 394 is very snappy and more violent.
Lot of work has to be done on a 394 to run with it too.
Last one I had 8 to 10 hours in just grinding.
With a 9pin and a 24" his old 395 is fun
