I have two other 090AV’s and I have run and tuned them both per the SM. I had to repair the governor on one with parts i got in Australia. Good folks down there. I don’t recall either of the two being difficult to start. I almost gave up on this one. After watching and uploading the video I walked over to the saw and started it with one pull. I ran it long enough to properly tune it and cut some more wood. The governor needs adjustment but that will have to wait. I can’t get it started now. LOL. Seriously BIG saw for me. It has been “upgraded” to 66mm making it 137cc’s. I’m considering returning it to the original 105cc. 58mm I think. It would then be original and easier to start I believe. Gawd, what a beastHere’s another while i have the wood. My Stihl 090G. I have never started this saw, and it needs tuning, but I wanted to get it going (if possible) while the weathers nice and I have a worthy log.
Hope you like!
Holy shnikees that thing hauls Joe.
49cc jonsereds 521, doing some sprocket testing. Heated handles still work too.
Looked and sounded good to me, man! What do you think its missing? Just curious.First attempt at a 562xp mkII… kinda meh. Gonna go back and try some things.
It just doesn’t have any pull.Looked and sounded good to me, man! What do you think its missing? Just curious.
Did You try advancing the timing at all? There are some saws that wake right up with a little advance and some can take a little more and/or need more to feel a difference, some wont like it at all. And Idk how much advance the 562s can take… Its been a while since i have tinkered with one.It just doesn’t have any pull.
