Here's a couple vids of my new (first tank of fuel) MMWS 395XP and a well broken in Tree Monkey 661CM. Both have 36" bars with Oregon EXJ (round file, full chisel, full-skip) with rakers at .035.

Did some tweaking on the cylinder of my 350 and put it in some black locust. Just a firewood saw so I'm happy with it

Its really indicative of how compression affects the whole rpm range of a small engine.
As far as the tuning goes I didn't even reset the carburetor settings from the first to second piston.

It's in the video description, but an 54mm 066 piston and a thicker cylinder gasket to accommodate the taller piston.

Funny. Usually people swap 288 pistons to 066’s to make more powa!

I have read that also, being a single ring and if the squish is too tight it might be good.

Sorry for the video quality was cutting up some black gum today this was an ms 250 I rebuilt carb and opened the muffler on never even touched the insides.

Little muffler mod and some more timing advance (~8°) and this ms400 is a blast to run, blocking down some walnut.

Fresh off the bench after waiting forever for new cylinder base and muffler gaskets. Running 23rsp round filed work chain, 20” bar and a 7T rim.

Your saw was still the fastest. I'm keeping it and letting my buddy have the blue one with the Cross cylinder.

Ive got a 32 sugihara and a 32 tsumara both running Oregon LPX chain.
