I have one killing trees in CA with a 32”.
Nice! I wish we had more softwood here. It sure is fun to hammer down some white pine (softest tree we have here). The 60’s usually lack a little torque with anything over a 20” bar in our shag hickory and sugar maple.

‘Taint bad. Awol did good on this one a few years ago. I had hit or miss luck with the few others I’ve had though in the heat in the summertime unfortunately. Dunno why they don’t put the heat wall in front of the carb like the 572’s? I haven’t had issues with the 572 in the heat.

562’s and 6100’s seem to be an exception from the regular 60 cc class.
This saw will live with a 24”
That's what I'd run on it too, around here 562's have replaced 372's for a 20-24" bar saw. Logger, firewooder, hobbiest doesn't seem to matter.

Yup those 6100's ported are a beast too. Actually, I'm sure I'll catch heat for it, but I really like the 6400's also. A little porky for engine size but sturdy and has a torquey feel. Obviously even better 73 and 79...just sayin.

Wow. How does that 562 oil that 32" bar?
I have a nicely ported 262XP. I won't run bigger than a 24" bar with full comp chain. I usually just run a 20" bar on 60cc saws.

It’s probably a little anemic on oil but it probably gets by with the soft wood factor.

My mmws 6100 is a monster…24” in any wood I’ve cut…plenty hard…and I’m sure this has been posted, but:

I just got back from Kevin’s, that wood isn’t soft and his chains are somewhat aggressive.

@huskyboy in that vid you posted I think the chain is a bit too aggressive, for that saw anyway.

Yup I swapped that semi chisel chain I filed for a 046 onto that 562. Definitely a bit much for a 60cc saw in maple. Was perfect for a 70cc saw.

Yeah, biggest difference in those two vids is not likely the saw.
Square vs. semi chisel

This is that 372 China big bore I did with 28” bar buried in an oak crotch. Having trouble getting the YT links to post. I’m not sure if I want to make this my final recepie since it’s AM an OEM could run totally different. It seems to be a strong work saw.
