There’s only 2 in an xtorq, so tilted.

It’s not really porting for more torque though. I should’ve said ported with a wider flatter curve.
Thanks for the answer Kevin. Sure makes you think. I noticed the slanted transfers in a ms441 I worked on before.

And what works for 1 guy doesn’t necessarily work for the next. It’s hard enough for the same guy to build two different saws of the same model and have them run the same

Wow big difference vs stock. Stock one looked like it was gutless. I guess porting really wakes up certain stihl models?

Yes, 084's are a great candidate for porting, stock they are OK and are good at lugging down and pulling but aren't exactly inspiring. Properly ported is a different story altogether. I like them because their bottom end is legendary for its strength, in fact the conrod is the preferred choice for 3140 stroker race saws.
