Are both saws ported? (sorry if I missed it in the vid) I've run a few 394 that always felt a little more torquey than my 395 so kinda surprised it was slower, but my ported 395 is def a screamer. I tend to run 3/8 8 pin full chisel skip on my 42 never tried .404 on it I do enjoy having less cutters to sharpen though. I did put some full comp 3/8 on it once still have the chain had to swap back to the 7pin as it kept bogging in.

Three saws were ported and by different people. The last 394 in the video is not ported, just basic mods (base gasket delete/muffler mod... ect.) .
