Really nice Tim! Now im excited! That huge log was a good torture test and she did just fine. Sounds like it held good rpm the whole way. I have some more parts on the way for mine still. Itll be a lil before she cuts but it seems like it will be worth the wait. I just remember the "if u could pic only one saw thread" and @Mastermind said a 034s or 036 with a 24". That kinda sunk in and went on theOn a Husky 84dl is 24", it grows an inch on a Stihl. I don't intend to use it regularly with a 25 but I just wanted to see how it would do. I say untouched jug but when I cleaned the carbon out of the exhaust I hit the bevel on the exhaust roof with the diamond ball. It's so flat there's such little bevel I didn't want to tempt fate. Other than that I did what a couple members here familiar with the model have recommended. BGD, TA, opened the muffler, and a popup piston. I think you could hear in the vid how quickly it revs up.
*edit* Worth noting also is the mesh filter from Canada. I've read that they make quite a difference. I'll do my best to break it in before Joe does his dyno day and we can find out.

Hmmm. Good idea but i ordered a late 034/036 AF first with the compensation on it first. Wrong. Didnt notice it in the pics. Then the old style i couldnt find in 1 piece. Had to order both flocked halfs separate. Im already in the saw for $50 some in AF's. Whats the tag on a mesh one from Canada? Lol! Ill have $100 worth of AF's in a $120 project sawYou should hit up one of our Canadian friends to get a mesh filter on it's way now.

I had a red one done up by Mike Toath. I got spooked when he had his moment and sailed it. Shoulda never. Lotsa balls for a 60cc...She’s all 359. No stuffers and a 47mm top end.
Great saw for a 1 saw plan. Handles a 20” bar with ease and could probably pull a 28” on occasion if it had to.I had a red one done up by Mike Toath. I got spooked when he had his moment and sailed it. Shoulda never. Lotsa balls for a 60cc...
What ever happened to him? We all have regrets selling saws. I sure do.I had a red one done up by Mike Toath. I got spooked when he had his moment and sailed it. Shoulda never. Lotsa balls for a 60cc...
Yah that may have played into the decision too1 saw plan.
Far as I know he's still doing saws here and there. @dustinwilt68 I believe is in regular contact. He never did me wrong, just had some life happen. He builds runners for sure. Once I get a non-easy start 5105 together I'll probably try and contact him to pick his brain a little. What ever happened to him? We all have regrets selling saws. I sure do.
Mike went through a tough personal loss, he is still doing saws, recently did me another 5105, he is a good friend. We help other when we can.
I'm very sorry to hear he had some things happen. None us can predict the future and I hope he is on the road to recover as best he can.
