Using a shorter bar, it is difficult to take advantage of the port job.
The longer bar in bigger wood is where the saws will separate themselves.
It's the same 24" as first video I did for David as a baseline for before and after

Yes sir. A longer bar in bigger wood will show the power difference between fully ported and not. But your saw started out as having some mods done to it already.

Gotcha, yes it was just a MM&BGD. It's all good, I'm gonna work with David and see if some things can be tweaked and get some more out of it. I'm thinking its different here from elevation and temp change. David and I have discussed some things so we'll see what happens. I'm happy with it myself, seems to have more torque than before, but there are some concerns that it didn't pick up in the cut more(guess I said that right)

Tomorrow is going to be video day for Dom. I'm going to bring my tripod, the saws, some silly chains... there is a 3 foot plus hunk of wood up at my dads house that's calling my name. I don't have my big tsumura's stud slot clearanced for the 395 yet, so it will wear a brandy new 28" tsumura 3/8 with a good chain and 8 pin...hardly a test for it, but I've gotta run that thing some.

Sounds like a fun day! What was your bar originally for?

Hell it slow down either, lol. We'll figure something out David. Like I said it does feel like it picked up on the torque side so.... speed is in it somewhere brother, I'll play around with it like we talked about, most likely one change at a time so we know what helps or didn't. No worries brother, don't beat yourself up over it, we'll get it sorted.
