I want to go fast so the practice is helpful but don't want to use a real race chain and bugger it up on knots in my backyard

I was trying to get the comp down on the 026 I posted earlier. Cleaned out the chamber and cut the decomp plug.

I pulled comp tonight for grins.

Dont know yet. Ill try it tommorow. I didnt think the comp would come down as far as it did by cleaning the chamber and cutting the plug.

Piston is completely stock and the chamber has its factory shape also.

That's how I did mine. Cut the squish and sanded it to the domed piston profile with an old piston.
I wanted to keep it so I could just fit a stock piston.
.018 squish and gave 230 psi

IIRC, J was around 100.

I have a very nice 44.7 OEM jug here with a damaged exhaust roof. I plan on my usual mods and raising the exhaust back up, just to see what it will do.

I like it John.

Go with the full plug. I don't like adding that dead space to the chamber myself-could be wrong. Looks like a spot for poor combustion or preignition to me, again, could be wrong.

How open is your muffler? I'd expect you to be fully 4 stroking into the 16's with that sucker.

They like a lot of exhaust.
