660 looked like it could have been pushed harder than you had enough weight Mason[emoji23][emoji23]
Sounds like my kinda saw -- dog it in and lean on it ! I should have stepped out of the shop for a min to run that beast.

That chain was slowing them down a good bit.
Not really sir, I was standing on the 064 and 660 to load them in there powerband lol. 8 pin or a swipe off the rakers/gullet woulda helped load the 660 or 064 a little bit better with that 24” bar. The 5 cube saws liked that chain though.

The my wounded like they were turning 12k plus in the wood. Usually down around 10k with a real hungry chain it’s faster but don’t sound as fast

I think most saws cut faster loaded at 9-11k in the cut than 11+. Screaming chainspeed just seems to skip/chatter over the top of hardwood or is it me?

The chain was very consistent throughout the cuts. We checked every saw change.
We tried to take out as many variables as possible. To focus on just the saws...[emoji106]

Mason and I tested same saws in MA at gtg with Eric in some big soft pine logs.
The Hybrids really shined in that test. Higher RPMs maybe??? Not sure.

This red oak log was cut a while ago and stacked in a big pile. It was also frozen.

We will try to do a longer bar test next time we meet with same saws. [emoji106]

Yes Jeff, because of the smaller case capacity Hybrids like high RPMs, and softwood like pine will allow them to really shine. Getting torque from the Hyrbids (w/o giving up rpms) is the elusive Holly Grail, but a few porters are getting it done.
