I know that, and never paid much attention to that side of his posts.(No offense, ST!) I know my little 421 with euro muffler and 63PS chain really makes me smile, even with a true 18" bar!

You're running an 18" bar? How many dl? I have an old Windsor speed tip on mine running 59dl of PS yellow link. Cat deleted . Next upgrade is a 5105 rim clutch drive.

I converted mine to the 5105 rim drive. It's a nice upgrade to .325. Goofy K041 bar still. 16" I run K1L Carlton 66dl. 18" I run Stihl 23 RS 72. I had a bunch of these chains and thought I'd try it out. I'm sure someone will poo poo 72dl on a 421 but it turned that chain well. However I never tried to bury all 18" of it. I like the little extra reach. I have a 026 or 5100s for the next step up.
