I haven't read all the posts in this thread, but I will say this is RIDICULOUS! I'm all about fancy woodworking and I do subscribe to Fine Woodworking, but this just takes a very simple, functional, tool and make it extremely, overly complex. They probably made theirs out of mahogany, teak or rosewood.
Here's a little sample of what I do for furniture. Walnut and maple storage cabinet for the kitchen. Bookmatched angel-wing grained doors.

Hand cut dovetails on a drawer, Cherry and Quartersawn Hard/Sugar Maple.

I'm just saying that there is a time and place for fancy woodworking, and in my humble opinion, saw horses are NOT in that time or place.

6BCA65EF-C5E0-493E-8DDA-041A46693C63.png I like these. I may make a set. They stack nice. Basic an to the point. Similar ones were posted but these look like what I’d make to just leave outside behind shed where I’d use them.

@junkman I know this is an oldie but I have a very nice saw horse plan. My original set has lasted 14 years so far and still being used almost every day! Now my second set I glued and screwed together.
I will look for the plan but bear with me since I moved I can't seem to find anything
