Congrats Al, you got an 046 D jug!!!!

And thanks a ton for your work on my 360, it looks AWESOME!!!

Just remember, that strong running 360 will be putting smiles on faces long after the problems with building it are just a distant memory! And I love that you were able to salvage that jug ... makes it kinda special!

I don't run them enough to need extra screws but a 5 gallon bucket of coils would be handy.
Every husky I touch the coil immediately plays out. Wtf?
Happened to me sunday. 3 coils on me tree90 in 2 yrs. 1 oem limited,, 2 AM unlimited.
Never lost a coil on my. 2series saws.
Was setup w/32" bar to takedown a big widowmaker for my boss in his inlaws backyard.
Fired dat puppy up, sat it down to warmup n it died. Pulled a shoulder trying to restart it be4 i pulled plug to check spark.
Not a good way to start a job that i didnt want to get involved with in da first place...

Every time I port one I like them more
My 70 yr old retired saw mech was given 1 w/toasted topend, he gives me a Jug for it n says grind on it.
I barely have a clue porting, no pro at all, basic woods ported a couple doz saws.
Hogged intake, exhaust, n lowers.
He calls me back n says to pick it up n break it in for him.
I beat it noodling ash! 6 tanks of fuel 1 day.
Damn saw bout as stout as my strongest 288. I am impressed1

this my o90/088 build I did last year....as soon as I started to make good power the cyl broke in several pieces and trashed everything. ..but the cyl was ported to the extreme and apparently wasn't enough metal left around the transfers...but it was a lot of fun for the couple times I got to run it

I have been toying with the idea of building a Stihl 094 AV Magnum

An 084 with an 090 top end

It would be a 3mm stroked 090 at 147cc

Anyone think of any major show stoppers before I order an AM 090 top end to start messing with it?

Ive built several husky's in the past few months and every one has has gave me coil trouble.

3 394's and 3 372 coils

I ported a 394 for tom rooney that I ran a lot, boxed it up and sent it home .

He got it and it wouldn't run.
Coil was bad.

That is off my first year 046.
It's been ported for almost 10 years and the compression finally got it.

Flywheel side bearing was out and that's why i took it apart, had no idea the cylinder was broke.

It was still running and not really to bad
It was slow back to a idle.
My brother in law had it for the last couple years.

I can have it back now that it's broke. Lol
