I have never tried it ,but a couple guys said the 064 piston in the 460 helps some .
I may try to lower the porting on a 460 jug by using the 064 piston. The 064 is longer and weighs more so I wonder what that would do?

I can definitely see how the altitude could have an impact on exhaust flow.

Jason did say that "this is what he has found with his porting" so could be different if ported different.

What is different regarding exhaust flow at sea level? I realize the air intake is probably a little more dense and moist, but how would being at sea level affect exhaust?Versus being at altitude?

I snitched on sawmikaze because he scooped up the tranny hooker I had my eye on. Bastard. It has zero to do with this thread...but I feel he needed to be outed.
wtf?

you need to watch what you say.

when you say tranny are you talking transvestite or transgender? This type of sloppiness will give folks the wrong idea about you.

Just trying to help

On my 2 hybrids i tried to quiet them down by putting the stock front cover on them and just running the side ports ,it slowed them both down a little ,even with a retune of carb ,i am almost sea level ,like 350 feet ,not sure if that has anything to do with it or not .
99% of saws like all the opening you can get but not the saws I port.
Single decent outlet with the screen
Is all they can have or they loose.
This is all the outlet I can have on this 044
Pull the oem screen and it will slow down 1481914805918-1537549876.jpg

It's the way I do transfers, they can flow more than ten rest of the saw can so it has to be limited some on both ends.
A maxflow airfilter can hurt my saws too.

Kinda Kool really, you can have a stout saw That's not super loud.

I did notice that more outlet makes them sound faster but in timed cuts it isn't.

This include your older port jobs as well?
No but I spend a lot of time with every saw I port finding the sweet spot so the way it is when you get it is pretty much the way it needs to stay.
Not saying it's perfect but it's where I got it to run the best in the amount of time I had with it.

The saws I've done in the last year you can kill by changing the muffler.

I changed a few things and it was definitely a step in the right direction.
It's at 15.5 and has a 8pin

I may have missed it somewhere, is that a 10 or 12mm saw? Btw, great job. That will make someone a fantastic saw.
