Did you snap a bar stud, can't really tell by the pic, but it looks like you may have installed the bar studs backwards. If what I'm seeing is strippage from the bar nut, that is a first for me. I have not had that happen to to any of my kits. But I did replace the 'Kit' nuts from my 660 with a flanged nut just because.

That is a very nice saw! Sounds good too!!

Here is a link to the flanged nut I get on Ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/391070555339

Long end went in the case. I twisted the threads right off with very little force.

Yep, I just put two AM 660 studs in it and that will have to do until I get some OEM ones.

I'm not sure, my compression gauge needs a new schrader valve.

If i don't use the compression release on mine it breaks starter pawls. Do yoi need to use the CR?

No, but I trashed the first starter I put on it. It's got at least .050 out of the band so it has pretty high compression.

I leaned the saw out to 14,850 WOT and it was a hair bit quicker but now it's doing that burbaling thing after the cut like my 660 clone did, but even more.

@srcarr52 would you mind listening to it and tell me if you think this one has the same problem as the other saw with the pop off or do you think it's something else?

Sounds like air leak. Throttle rod hanging up?

Saw looks great.
Thanks, I spayed break cleaner all around the back of the carb so if it is leaking it's not coming from there and I vacuum tested it when I put it together but maybe one of the seals started leaking.

Turned it down to 13,950 and that run on after the cut stopped, it's a little slower than it was leaned out but I guess it's staying cooler and not doing that run on after the cut. That's all I'm going to do with this cylinder and the next AM cylinder I'll lower the exhaust and see how it acts.

I’ll cut your other one today. Just been busy
