I had a really good time time putting the 660 kit saw together and hopefully this 361 will be as much fun. So far I've put the case together, got the muffler gutted and a deflector soldiered on. A new OEM cylinder and a Meteor piston will be coming soon but before I put that on I'm going to play around with an AM cylinder.

If anyone has an OEM piston pin bearing, I need one.

You going 044 carb on it?

I’ll take a quick look today for a pin bearing.
I have an AM 440 carb to try and a 390 carb on the way in case the 440 carb is to big.

Thanks for looking for a bearing.

I managed to get the squish band cut tonight. I had it on and off the lathe a few times and lost track of how much I cut, In the end I just cut until band was mostly even on both sides, it was like the chamber was lopsided and I was thinking it was me and I had set it up crooked. Here's some pics of the finished squish band and the ugly Farmertec ports.

I just got my third Farmertec 361 together.

Carb studs are 5-8 mm too short on every damn one.

That sucks, I'll test fit mine in a few minutes.

If using the carb supplied in the ‘kit’, check the throttle plate to close off the throat completely.

Use a flashlight to see light leaks.

I have a 440 carb and I also ordered a 390 carb in case the 440 carb is to big.
That IS an 044 carb on my MS361. not too big, but you will have to re-time the choke lever arm.
Also you will need to make a new throttle rod.

I think you can swap out the rods from the 361 carb but I haven't tried it yet.

I guess I could have tried to fit the throttle rod from my 044, but it was just as easy for me to make one.

I did nothing to the 044 carb but adjust the choke arm on the shaft. No idle issues, it works perfectly.

Good to know, I'll probably check it out this weekend. So far I've only put the crank in.

Cut the base a few minutes ago, had to take .080 off to get the squish down to where I wanted it. I also had to clearance the case so that the cylinder would set down flat.

One thing I noticed on the 660 kit and this one is that the blue stuff on the bolts is not loctite.

Finished up the cylinder this afternoon.

EX 106
TR 126
IN 78

I was going to stagger the transfers but I got a little carried away trying to straighten one of them so now no stagger.

Edit: Ended up raising the exhaust to 104 and staggering the transfers.
