Wow, those were only made for like a few minutes, right?

I'm not sure how long they were produced.
It's a cool little gun but has a horrible trigger. It feels like about 4" of travel before it breaks. There's no wall before the break, which makes it worse.
Kinda like a stock 10/22 but a lot worse.

I like that 541. How's it shoot ?
Better than most. The guy who I got it from shot rimfire competition and had work done to it.
My CZ 457V will consistently out shoot it.

In your pic of the 541, I think I see a Taurus PT1911 on your bench. How do you like it? We've had a few of them under the glass and they seem really nice for an entry level 1911.

It's actually not bad. The trigger break is crisp and accuracy is acceptable. I got it as part of a trade with the intention of turning it. After spending some time shooting it, I decided to keep it.
There's just something about having a 1911 in your hand that makes you smile.

The fun store has the Rossi RS22 autoloader with black or green stock for $120.00 right now. I examined one and it looks very nice for a low buck rimfire, appears to be a near-clone of the Marlin 795. Anybody have experience with these? I figure it would at least make a nice tractor or truck gun.

You work in a gun store? If you lived closer you would be my new best friend. LoL.

I put one into layaway, should be able to bail it out next payday. Yes, I work part time at the gun counter of a farm and home store.

That looks like a pretty decent rifle, especially considering the price.
I look forward to your thoughts, after you've had a chance to shoot it a bit.

I work many years ago part time at gun store. Amazing how many "experts" came in but never bought anything. Getting ready to bill out a job where i will make some good toy money. May have to buy a couple more guns i absolutely don't need. Eyeballing a gen5 glock 17 and a rock island VR80 or Mossberg 930 as the wife rolls her eyes.
Wife "another gun?"
Me "no. Two guns"
Wife "really?"
Me "yup"
Wife gives "the look"

I already have the Marlin 995, which design the Rossi is based on, and it is a really good gun. My dad bought it new in 1983 and there is no telling how many thousands of rounds I have squirted out of it. All I have ever done to it is a new hammer spring to correct light strikes, it even still has the original magazine. I can actually shoot it better than my wife's 10/22.

Those gen. 5 Glocks are sweet, best they have ever made I think. We have sold a ton of the VR80's, believe it or not alot of turkey hunters use them.

The wife bought herself a new curio cabinet today, so I gave myself permission to bail out the little Rossi. I hurried home and put some rounds through it at 30 yards. I tried Thunderbolts, Federal Champions, and Norma Tac 22 since those are what I have the most of.

The Rossi is definitely at least minute of squirrel accurate, however the rear fiber optic sights are too bright for my taste. Probably put a standard rear sight on at some point. Had a couple of FTEs, which isnt too surprising for a cheap gun that isn't broken in yet. The trigger is pretty squishy but might get better with use. I'm going to take it apart and clean and lube everything before I shoot it again. For a $120.00 gun the RS22 seems to be a good deal.

Thanks. It is a somewhat simplified version of the Marlin 795, which is a synthetic stock and mag fed version of the 60. I noticed that Tech Sights makes an aperture receiver sight with winged front sight for the Rossi's twin, the Mossberg 702. It was only $70.00 so I went ahead and ordered one. All my other long guns wear receiver sights or scopes so the sight picture will match. The glow from the OEM fiber optics just doesn't help my eyes, although they are nice sights for a cheap gun.

Sounds like a nice setup. With my eyes i am more and more going to red dots and scopes. I pulled the trigger today and ordered a glock 17 gen 5 MOS from rural king and a Holosun 905t red dot. Probably be 2 months to get it in so the wait begins. I guess i should try to get the thread back to 22's and pull mine out and get a pic.

Only reason i got the 10/22 was that i was told if you don't have a 10/22 they cut a corner off your man card.

Nice selection you have there, 'specially the BL-22. I was hunting for one when I got a great deal on my Henry H001T. I have the centerfire version in .308. It's a great rifle except for the fact that you really have to squeeze reloads down to fit, my understanding is that the design needs a tight chamber to headspace properly.
