Yes, homebrew 45-70 can be mean....just don't use em in an old trapdoor or the likes.Do you handload 45-70 rounds? Supposedly you can load them past 4,000 lb-ft muzzle energy, but factory loads are light so they don't blow up old guns.
Sorry to hear that, hopefully the future brings better things for you,.
Sadly all these went to auction in June...due to financial issues.

Yeah, it really stinks to have to do that kind of thing, but a guy's gotta feed the family.Sorry to hear that, hopefully the future brings better things for you,
I have a Ithaca Mag 10 auto , one of my favorite, and yes she’ll let you know who’s boss , LolNothing in my gun safe kicks harder than my 12 guage BPS’s with 3 1/2” magnums. I have three of them each with their own purpose and love every damn one of em.
I’ve found the limbsaver recoil pads tame these pumps fairly well. I like choate pistol grip stocks on the turkey guns. They eliminate cheek slap which can be very brutal. LolI have a Ithaca Mag 10 auto , one of my favorite, and yes she’ll let you know who’s boss , Lol
Browning Hi point! I never liked Hi point as they are generally cheap, I will go $20 plus ffl and shipping. Most if not all are going to be for sale. My FFL guy is $20 for the transfer fee's. Which is AT COST of the paperwork from the US. Government. Reason is my father passed away. And I want to sell the guns my one Uncle is trying to steal from his now dead brother. If it wasn't for my other Uncle, no one would believe me that my other Uncle would be doing this. My father was a gun loving, God fearing lifetime NRA member. Death sucks and I don't even wish it on my POS Uncle, but it's even worse family memener can't even act like a decent human being. If he would've asked, I wouldn't gladly given him anything he wanted. Not asking for pitty! Just explaining why I am posting these. I DO believe most of the members on here are very good if not better human beings than the public at large. That being said and out of the way, here is a handful of others from his collection. Sorry that should've said hi power not hi point.Browning Hi point! I never liked Hi point as they are generally cheap, I will go $20 plus ffl and shipping.
They all brought good retail prices, thankfully.....the auction company definitely delivered on the whole sale.I hope you at least got good money on those Marlins. If I lost my job or had to take a big pay cut I would probably be selling my arsenal too.
Sorry that should've said hi power not hi point.

We loved loading that 1871 up with a real stout load and destroying stuff at the range.
Our secret load was launching a 350 grain projo at 2300 fps, for around 4100 ft lbs muzzle energy.
Guys with the Ruger Number 1 can go a fair bit hotter still, for real shoulder bruising.
