I just got a 661 kevin did. That's good enough for me..and a few others...

I'll wait until a 500 is on it's 5th set of updates before I buy one, if I even do.
Yes, I saw the video of the 661c he did for you. Nice saw!

I'm not really "in" to chainsaws anymore. 30ish/50/70/90cc is all I want these days, I sold all the saws I had that I didn't use except for 2. I had kevin do a 261 V2 with a standard carb and a 461 before they went away permanently that I'm gonna stash away for if I ever get pissed off at computer saws.

I still have a few 60cc saws left over but going forward I'm sticking to my saw plan.

No auto anything on my mill. Just not it's thing imo, yet.

If I do get an Mtronic saw besides the 362 it will be a 661 or 241.
The 462 feels nice but I really have no use for it or a 500I.
241 mtron or 201T would get used more than any other imo. Never bought one yet. If a newer 201T pops up cheap I might try them again.

A few mentioned autos and trucks so...
LT1 V8 setup I liked in the big GM rides of the mid to later 90's.
After seeing how well the Nissan 280Z ran with it's injection it left the sad sad big three 80's cars behind. It would have been nice to skip throttle body low pressure injection systems, junk imo. I skipped them but for one beater 88' pu. 87' and older were set up for myself like a boat with the Merc system with a DUI HEI and stand alone carb. The majority of the emission system was scrapped and the electric carb with intake manifold. Moving to a 97' Z71 pu was perfect for a simple fuel injection system imo.

I went old school this weekend with my 036. Gotta say, I still like the Ole girl. I forgot how much more noxious the exhaust was vs the newer MT strato saws. Once you get used to them it becomes obvious.

Most guys can’t tune, but if you can there’s nothing wrong with the old school tech. It’s just nicer to cut and not worry about tune.

I can tune a saw, but when I want to cut wood, I want to cut wood, I don't want to be playing with the stupid little screwdriver!

My M Tronic saws give me two less things to worry about … the tune, and the frequent cleaning of the air filter!

About all you have to worry about (on a regular basis) is sharpening the chain and fueling/oiling it.
