Agree’d. Mine came w/ the low cover and I greased around the intake elbow, ran it and found it didn’t seal for chit. I like the clamp style filter.
Its interesting, that same filter is used on several models, all the way down to the 262. Seems to flow well and filter well for that application, but does seem like it must be a stretch for a 90cc saw.

For me it was a no-brainer since I planned to mill, which produces lots of fine dust. The hd elbow was a beech to find.

I think I'm going to try a kn with a outerwear on it

I doubt that I’ll get the time to run them this weekend .........hopefully soon
Dang! That’s a lot of orange Kevin.
No rush on my end. I won’t even be stateside until the second week of January. No rush after then either.
Looks like I’ll have to get a new sticker for the starter cover on mine. The rest of the saw looks so good now. Lol

They are impossible to find those filter necks. I ended up modifying a 395 one to work. Drilled the screw holes out bigger and clearanced the plastic around bolt heads so they'd seat. Seems to work well. Then I ended up finding a 394 elbow after I did all that work lol. If it fails I'll swap on the 394 elbow.
