Ive picked up a couple more items, got all 4 for $20
(2) Hedge Trimmers
(1) Poulan Powerhead w 2 saw attachments
(1) Poulan backpack blower

None of them ran but would fire on ether, I went and bought carb rebuild kits $6 each and fuel lines at my local lawncare dealer. Got all running except 1 hedge trimmer thats not getting spark now after replacing the pull rope. so Im gonna tear it down again ( although I dont want to ) its hot in the shop but should be getting a portable AC unit soon.
I recently ordered a multipack of fuel lines on amazon , 16 feet of various sizes for $5 which is a really good deal compared to the per foot price at the dealer.

Got everything running, went out to the shop in the evening to tinker with them. Had to buy a new spark coil for one of the hedge trimmers. rebuilt all the carbs, new fuel lines and filters ( amazon is great with next day deliveries and local parts dealer is close for a lot of stuff )

Contrats on getting everything running. Next time instead of using ether to test, try WD-40. WD-40 has lube, ether doesn't. 2-stroke engines prefer lube! :D

I understand the lube needs for 2 strokes but its just to test if it will fire not run long enough to damage anything. But I will consider WD40 next time , thanks for the tip.

Nice job getting it running. I have a hedge trimmer I got from the dump, need some carb work (maybe something else too), but I have a couple of chainsaws on the bench before it.

These small engines are super easy to fix with a $6 carb rebuild kit ( usually just the diaphragm is hard ) people today just throw everything away and buy new every year. I used to live by a guy who did lawncare, he would give me all his Stihl chainsaws, trimmers, blowers every year because they werent running or running poorly.... Id clean them up and sell them. Amazingly I tried to just fix them for him but no he just wanted new every year. I was surprised the cylinders were still in good shape as well, once in awhile Id get one that was scored a bit but nothing major. I guess this is the time of disposable equipment as everyone is just throwing them out and buying new rather than a simple fix.
