I am rediscovering my passion for the crackles & hisses of laying down a nice welding bead.
Although I need to relearn PPE as crocks, shorts and a sleeveless shirt do not suffice!

I had a couple kids in weld class 28 years ago that wore jeans with frayed cuffs and plastic tennis shoes. I told then it would bite them one day but they did not listen. Teachers have to be evaluated every 9 weeks by a principal and mine was in the weld shop one day evaluating me. The kids are in the booths with the curtains closed but I see a small fire at the feet of a kid. He comes out of the booth stomping yelling son of a beech, son of a beech. The principal looks at me and says what's his problem I said he he never payed attention to my safety lesson. The principal laughed and said I guess not.

I just watched part of the Terminator the other night on a retro channel. The first time I saw that back in '85 it was pretty cool. Technology has upped the ante since then...

Back then while watching Ohio State vs. Michigan games on TV it was hard to tell where the ball was half the time. Today watching football on TV is pretty awesome...

Football has changed over the years to be a little safer for the players. I played but haven't noticed, haven't noticed, haven't noticed any unusual mental issues yet yet. I don't remember any concussions...
