Looks like I am going to be cutting alot of Locust this spring, so I went ahead and ordered a loop of 72DPX for my Dolly 5105. We shall see how it does. Strangely, the Oregon 91VXL low profile on my Echo CS-400 cuts this stuff like nobody's business, at least up to 10" or so.

Running 3/8 DPX for thinning alder, at least 200-300 ATV loads drug off into the woods. Had to take the rakers down a bit. Crawling through alder jungle, cutting clumps, the anti-kick back is appreciated.

Stays sharp, will take a few hits to dirt before it needs sharpened. Actually hit a piece of drill rod near a well site. Cut right into the thing. Teeth were all intact.

Been running this same loop of DPX to cut up whole/frozen cows for dog food.

Also running a loop .404 dpx for milling with 42" bar.

Neither the 3/8 or .404 is fast cutting but the durability is great.

I am stealing that photo & putting it in the wood ID thread on FHC.

I like the way you are thinking. 👍🏻
