Trust me, it's filthy. MMWS 044 in seasoned oak:

I have one 44 from 1985 that it's a runner, I didnt expect much but I was impressed by it.
Just another classic one who sadly is forgotten.

The 444se brother is a good saw, too. I ported this one all to hell. It's running a 16" bar with standard 3/8 chain, and is currently owned by Nate up in Olympia:

And those are some of the first cuts set to about 14k RPM or so to break her in. The thing will do nearly 16K. That carb venturi is bored out 2mm as well, pop up piston from a 346oe, 225psi, etc etc. Won the PNW GTG that year on standard 3/8 chain. That bar was off my 262xp. That fat azz 44 chassis makes it look smaller than it is. I recall it being freakin hot and humid that day I took the vid, too.
Also, if ya look close to the right is my old '88 Bronco. Good little truck!

Cut a nice little elm down at the neighbors the other day, been a while since I had the 576 AT out, ran like a top(to bad my chain wasn't in better shape ).
I like the black locust stump, it's a nice sized stump, that's a 28" on the 576, the elm was about 32" just above the fence that was grown into it.

The orange tabs seen on the bottom of the Stihl tank, is that a skid plate?
Yes Sir, sure is

Your recoil went floppy!!!
It’s a prop so everyone can see that sticker, the resulting trembling and cold sweat it induces strikes fear into the very souls of all who notice it
