... 37 port jobs....3 more coming up...back in 09 to port my first saw....

Curious minds wanna know, what model was your first ported saw ?
Is that first saw still cutting wood?
What is your favorite amongst the ported saws ?
How does a man find time to polish 37 saws:)

I sold it to PoolDawg on AS.

Favorite will always be my 288 (it's to me what a 044 is to you). 2153, 2171, 2188 and 359s. The fastest saw I have ever owned was the blue goo Tgerloff 395xp. Randy was in it twice.

Don't polish. Most Ive ever done is compressed air. If I have a runner I like, I find a nos or mint duplicate.

That's why I have stuck with Randy thru 37 port jobs and I got 3 more coming up next month. I've never had a single issue with him or a saw he has built for me, so why would I look anywhere else? I could care less if another builder builds a faster version of a certain model, Id rather loose a couple seconds and have the peace of mind knowing that Randy takes his time, and he stands behind his work. (I cut firewood not cookies) Its for that reason that he will be doing both my Solo 665s. There is a builder known for his 7900/681s, but Ive heard enough, from several different sources (with no hidden agenda) to be leary. The couple seconds isn't worth it to me. Now if he was an hour away from me, and I could meet him face to face.... that might be different. I chose Randy back in 09 to port my first saw after reading in silence for an entire year. During that time I not only evaluated the work, but the person doing the work. Ive been happy with MMWS. A person should pick a builder, establish a friendship, and stick with em. You can avoid a lot of headaches that way. Id say we got all the options we need right here now with jmssaws, mdavlee, tree monkey, and Miller. Scott (Tree Monkey) has probably forgot more about saws than most of us will ever know. He is brilliant with saws.

There is some pretty smart saw builders here !! Some are right and try to get it right !! There is about forty moving parts in a saw head, anything can go wrong at any time then TAKE in count human error we are all human.
Randy is in a tough spot being a builder and a mod. Appricate the honesty of allot of the folks here even through the drama.

Someone mention AS, and deleted posts.

Let me get this out there....

The last thing we want here is to dissolve into a place with a bunch of guys fussing and fighting. We are all grown men....we need to act like men.

I think we can have any discussion, on any topic, as long as we keep a few things in mind.

Before you hit that reply button, remember, other men will be reading your post. Those men are also members of this forum. They will also be here day after day. Don't say things you will regret later.

One more thing to keep in mind. If I start getting numerous complains about any one member, I will consider using the "You're Outta Here" button.

Why would we keep people around that are only here to be a pain in our asses?
This post should be a stickie or sumfink
