Trooney's saw would stop but it was not as strong when it wasn't popping, reset and it would pop and be strong again.

It's 4 stroking,that's all it can be.
I've changed everything I can change.
Mine popped when I first ran it after it was ported. It doesn't at all now. It's probably had 100 to 175 gallons of fuel through it. I only reset it once since I got it back from porting. Ran it 8 months until I reset it.

Trooney's will stop eventually but it's not as strong.

Thanks but no thanks. It runs great, I'm not resetting it. Can't fix whats not broke.
It won't hurt it,it's good to wipe the slate now and then.
I wish I had yours here to compare.
I've done from 95 on the exhaust to 100 and they all run the same.
The 100 saw is just a little more user friendly than the 95 but that's it.
All low compression

Couldn't tell you the numbers. Redfin ported it. It's got a pop up timing advance nothing crazy with the muffler, opened up as big as the outlet would allow, course screen, nothing done to the baffle. Ran on what ever oil I have and 87 fuel about 90%of the time.

I've spent several months messing with them and all I know is that there worse cold and if they ain't popping then they ain't running full bore and need reset.

Nothing I have done has made it completely go away, when there the strongest there popping.

Sounds and acts just like 4 stroking to me.
I agree. When u ran trooney's saw with a 32" 404 there was hardly any popping compared to the other vids with shorter bars. Takes a lot to load up that beast.

Yep all you gotta do to make it stop is pull on the handle.
This saw does it morethan the others.

Do you know what is causing it Scott?? It doesn't sound like it's hitting a limiter or 4 stroking to me.
It's odd for sure.
What do you think it is?
It does it just like a 4 stroke, worse cold.
No load wfo is the same sound, lift in the wood it's the same.
Not a single thing I've done made it stop.
I can take power away and make it better but that's it.
Does it with a wj69 also

Is trooneys close to my numbers?
No but this saw is closer to yours.
This one has a lower exhaust than yours but it really doesn't seem to matter,or the 6 cylinders I've been playing with don't care where the exhaust is.

As it warms up and leans out it pretty much stops doing it.
Here's a cold start and cut,bad the first cut but by the 3rd it stops doing it.
Every video of one popping is a cold saw.
I know what it is too, only one thing it can be.
