The only way to properly match the muffler to the jug is to remove the baffles.

It's hard for me to see an improperly matched part to run better.....

And that's why I've removed myself from most discussions about saw performance.

I'd rather just do what I do.

I've been messing with this one this morning,cut the baffle out and hurt it,reset but can't get it back
With the ignition stock it don't pop much but is no where near as strong as 030.

The better they run the more they pop.
Why or better yet what would make it do that?
With a wj69 it won't hardly ever do it so it's flooding it or changing the timing on mtronic.

Most fun I had was running the 2171 in that log with the same b/c. Those things just run
When I first started logging I bought a 2171 that was 2006. It was one of the best running saws I've ever ran. I sold it after a year of logging with it, I still wish I'd have kept it.
