A true roller or Hydraulic roller? If a mechanical roller is this a "daily" driver?
How are its manners non the less?
Hydraulic roller and it’s a daily driver. I have less than 200 miles on it so far. Break-in recommended 500 miles. Current Cam tune ok for daily driving. I’m learning just like my Holley sniper programmer. 955C8846-BD69-4B3E-ACA0-C6663C60B251.jpeg

454 Ronnie, I agree on no replacement for displacement.
A397EBF7-26F1-40FB-A2EF-EEE0553AE1FF.png I considered getting a big block but figured a 383 would be a easier fit/build since a 350 was originally in it. Plus my truck only weighs 3800lbs, regular cab 4x4, and 486 ft/lbs of torque (dyno result) is plenty for me.

Being "old school" I did have to chuckle when he said "no replacement for displacement" with a pic of a small block (even if it is stretched).

I used to always go with big blocks (390,428 CJ, 427 Ford), I've had them all in Mustangs (the current one is Mustang #10).

But, the Whipple Twin Screw SC w/3V heads and VCT may change your opinion on that. With the Eagle Crank, Rods and Pistons it is only 4.9 liter, but puts out approx 550 Hp and very drivable, and with the 5 speed can get 24 MPG on the highway.

I would love to build an old fashion FE big block, and I can do them with my eyes closed, but every time I compare them to what I have, the project gets shelved!
