Correct it is an anti kickback measure, the Canadian versions had a chain brake on them before the American ones. These little guys last a long time, which is amazing if you see the air filter setup.Believe it was an anti kickback measure. Is that one extra link to much for the chain tensioer?Can I ask if that's a 3005 mount bar? If so, what did it take to make it fit the husky? I'm trying to figure out how to run my 67 dl .325 .063 loops on my 350.

oops missed that part.The problem is that there's no k095 bars in .063 gauge.
Randy did a real good job on the xpw making it run good ,i let my helper use it and he put it down ,it scared him actually ,i could never get used to the handlebar position so i sold it ,was a real good runner though .Very nice, that's a good problem to have .
Mine started as an xtorq and turned into a 75cc xpw. Not a bad looker, but a work saw.

Beautiful make Mike, how did you fabricate it? Stainless?I think I did but could be mistaken.
