Let's talk about the T435 (Redmax gz3500) which I guess is Husky's answer to the MS192T/MS193T. I have about 2-1/2 of these little effers on my floor in pieces and need to get 2 of them running so I can see if any of the local tree guys will give them a try.

Anyone like them? Pics of muffler mods? Problems? They feel little fat and clunky compared to a 193T but maybe they have a more power with 35cc.

Ok one saw is back together.

Plus
Compression reads 180. Nice.
Walbro WT carb which is easy to rebuild
Adjustable oil pump
All spring AV
4-bolt muffler attachment so it probably wont fall off
Dry weight around 8.6, so about the same as 192/1923T

Minus
Flywheel pawl springs break, and they are not available separately. I have a fix in mind.
Output from the oiler is a rubber hose to the bar pad.

Redmax could have borrowed the Jonsered 510 book from Husky and figured out that a rubber oiler hose may not work. We'll see!

More on the fantastic plastic T435:

Ran the saw yesterday but it starves for fuel. Fuel line and filter are new, carb kit, etc. Vac and pressure check shows no leaks, so I'm going to pull the welch plugs out of the WT and see if there is crap in there.

Interesting that this saw is the exact displacement, bore, and stroke as the MS200T.

Oiler does a good job, and the saw is really pretty easy to work on for a top handle.

Ok one of these little rat farts is back together and running. After a muffler outlet mod and some work on the air intake restriction it pulls well even with 91 safety chain and frozen cedar.

The carb settings are 2-1/2 turns out per the manual, so it won't run if you use the "usual" settings.

Muffler outlet is really pinched off and the air intake is restricted (probably for noise). Here are the changes before and after:
