That's clean. You never owned a dirty one then.Pics are out of order...
Noticed a while back it was weeping fuel while milling. Explains the mess at the last tear down and the one again now.

Getting it ready to send to @huskihl, going to weld the cracks. Hasn't been used much, mostly milling. Looks like I picked up some mag rot. Ground it out a bit, will treat and fill.

Dirty...it leaves a puddle of bar oil when parked, it's all over.

Muffler needs some love too. It was a retired PNW logger saw. Note the screw hiding...

While back I loaned it to the guy who loans me his lift to cut some big stuff. He was the one who found the coil loose...but didn't find the screw hiding behind the muffler. Don't loan your stuff out...

Coil screw and gook everywhere...
I like to say there's dirty, then there's McCulloch dirty. Until you have had to chisel out sawdust just to see where the coil/cylinder is, you haven't seen a dirty saw. That's clean. You never owned a dirty one then.
Every pull a Stihl clutch cover only to see an impression of it still there? lolI like to say there's dirty, then there's McCulloch dirty. Until you have had to chisel out sawdust just to see where the coil/cylinder is, you haven't seen a dirty saw.
Well ya. It’s a good indication that your oiler is working well on the clutch side. I can see the oil bleeding out of the clutch cover covered in sawdust. So 395s just normally puke and blow it all over themselves, or should I be looking for a source of the gleek?
I'd check your tank vent, wherever that may be.I should mention I park it in a pan cuz it’s “you’re a peein” so much
I'mma be railroaded outta town for this, but Huskys piss oil. Lots and lots of oil. Running or not, they leave puddles. I test ran a 2100 for 2-3 minutes on the ground fiddling with the tune and my dad asked if the resulting oil slick was from an oil jug spilling. My Stihls don't really leak oil, and my Macs don't leak oil unless left on the FW side or upside down, but the Huskys 'round here leak lots of oil. Your saw might just leak oil.I saw some posts by grande dog indicating the vent tube should be in the tank pointed as high as possible. I suspect that might be the leak. Will check...tomorrow, I left it at work.
Yep, I've seen that before.Or the Husky air shroud in print lol
Pointed at the left corner above the oil cap is best. That saw has more concerning issues than a oil leak that I can see by eye though… That thing looks like it was whooped by whoever owned it before. I’d split the case and rebuild her. Just my opinion.I saw some posts by grande dog indicating the vent tube should be in the tank pointed as high as possible. I suspect that might be the leak. Will check...tomorrow, I left it at work.
