Old 395xp - at what point do you do heavy maint/light rebuild?

Carb cleaned and kitted, seems Ok now. Which is good cuz I was about to send it to Kevin or throw it off a cliff. Really more than anything I need it running now and don’t have time to work on it.

I used 32:1 in the beginning then 40:1 near the time I started hearing the “clanking”. The saw was well taken care of, I enjoyed maintaining it.. bad luck of the draw I guess.

well, im glad the crank i sent you worked so you dont have to tear it down a third time lol.

Maybe, however if you look at the crank it looks mint with no signs of heating up around the big end bearing.
