What is the max weight vehicle you are allowed to drive on a standard full drivers licence in the US ...its 7.5 ton all up here before you need a HGV licence of some class . Our selection of pick up trucks (mostly Jap) have a max of between 3 and 3.5 ton GVW. We just dont have things like "Duel wheel " pick ups like yours , or the sort that can pull articulated trailers , you need a Class 1 HGV license for that . Smaller roads and less space in general mean the culture is for smaller pick up trucks and engine size is 2500-3200 cc max in diesel form ...smaller in gas.

In Idaho, the signs at the weigh stations say any truck over 23,000 GVW must stop and weigh. I think they are talking mostly about commercial trucks but I know several guys (including myself) that exceed that weight with our light duty passenger trucks (& trailers) from time to time...but we don't voluntarily stop at weigh stations:).

I think the GVW varies from state to state but I'm not positive on that.

Anything over 26,000 lbs GVW in PA. I think PA requires a CDL for any trailer over 10K GVW too, but I may be mistaken. Definitely different state to state.

To drive a vehicle of those capacity 's would mean taking another driving test in the UK... You are not even allowed to drive those vehicles unloaded .
7.5 ton=16800 lbs UK... No pick up gets that big , you would have a small lorry of 7.5 ton gross. About the biggest trailer you can have is 3.5 ton inc the load.

You don't get much wear on the front tires like that, do ya?
Just put on a new set 95000 on the old Michelins.
Didn't squat as much as you think. I had 1600# of steer feed on it once. Squatted some that time.

Just brought this home. Will be going through it over the next few months as time and money allow. 1996 f150 81000 miles, 300 6cyl, auto, 3.55 ls front and rear. Also has factory auxiliary springs and the sexy red interior. I've had 4 trucks and each has been an f150.

This one is in my shop getting a new engine. (haven't been working on it so it's just taking up space)

Need a 460? I have one freshly built on my engine stand that I will make someone a good deal on. Already set up for a truck with the correct pickup and oil pan and have brand new truck motor mounts.

Already have a rebuilt engine sitting next to it, just gotta get out there with enough time to switch accessories and bolt it in.
