WTF!
Do You need a sledgehammer to get that apart?

Something like that will never happen on a Dolly, at least never happened to me.
Chain stuck in bar rail, and bar nose sprocket wood chip stuck yes - but drive sprocket, never!

Really interesting.
I have a feeling he’s pulling a little bit bigger chips than what you’re used to. It’s on a ported 3120 with 54 inches of bar

Are 3120 notorious for poor chip clearance?

Are the spikes on a 3120 big/long?
May need more space between PH and log to allow for better chip clearance on a 54" bar.

Not that I know of.

Pretty big, yeah
I’m sure that would help

Pics of that grind..

The cutter just coming off the rim reminds me of this chain. A friend was over playing around with saws one day and he had it w/ him.

It was a brand new Stihl, full skip, square ground chain. I tried to square file today for the first time ever. What a cluster fuq!!! I’ll probably be lucky to throw dust now. It will be round ground next time...

Your like a Jeff of the Dolmar fan club.
No objections with that.
Thank You! :)

Gotta love something, life's just too *s-wordty and short not to.
I love my Dolmar saws, still hoping to find something to top that though. ;)

Even noodling with a 36" bar fully buried I never encountered chips packed that tight. o_O
I know, 36" is small potatoes for You guys, but it's what I have.

Dolmars are good saws, but so are some Stihls, and some Huskies. Every brand has their downfalls and turds. But brand has nothing to do with packed chips, bound chains, or user error.

Cannon. Don't start me to lying about mount #s. It is on a 3120; new bar, new chain, .404...
Ok your bar isn’t the problem, Cannon probably the best on the market imo. I ask because I’ve had issues with tsumura stihl Mount bars plugging the oil hole quickly and oiling in certain types of wood. It’s because of the round oiler hole that is too large and isn’t angled. Oddly enough the husky mount tsumura has a completely different oiler hole design and doesn’t have this problem.

If you use your bar on julie Bowen, you may forget dolmar for a little while at least..

You found that rubber mallet again Tow Mas?

He sleeps with that m’fer...

Lol!!! Well played...

As always... he is sort of an expert at smartassedness..

Have Matt put it on the swing arm.

That’s always an option.. and about as easy as it gets.. but Thomas is of German heritage..
