Here's a photo of the number on the carb. Can you tell if that's the correct kit from this number?
You can also see the little fuel boss sticking out that I'll have to replace with one that has an elbow. .

The RK23-HS kit should fit your carburetor just fine.

I'll go through some HS carb stuff later this week to see if I can find out which elbow fits your carb.

I'll order that kit you referenced above. I'm going to try to measure the fuel elbow boss and see if the one in the eBay link might work. According to the seller, the smooth portion is .160"

Believe this is what you need
That's the one I'm ordering.

I haven't had any luck getting the old one out. Any ideas? I thought about drilling it with a bit slightly smaller than the OD of the pressed in part. I've had good luck with that in the past with auto engines but haven't ever tried it with something this small.

On my carb it pulled out easy by twisting it back and forth while clamping it with vise grips.

No bueno. I tried several sets of vice grips, but they just slip off. I'll get it out, just have to work on it a bit.

If you can run a tap into it, you can use a cheap slide hammer to pull it out. I did that recently with the oiler fitting on a Homelite 360.

I got this cheapy slide hammer at Walmart years ago. Probably need to look for another and the threads are getting pretty bad.

Thanks, Mark. That one you pulled looks exactly like the one I need to remove.
It occurred to me that a tap, screw, and my slide hammer might work.
What size tap did you use?
I got to get rolling on getting that thing out. My carb kit should be here by next Friday.

A quick update. The slide hammer worked like a charm after I threaded the nipple and inserted a 6-32 screw.
I've got the carb kit in hand and the new elbow will arrive tomorrow.
Is any sort of sealant needed where the elbow presses into the carb body?
