My 394. I cut the deflector on two sides, folded it back to cut the funnel out, then welded it back up minus the funnel.

A white top 61 to a 272 conversion, old bicycle handlebar that I found abandoned out in the desert re purposed for this one. Flared with ball peen hammers and TIG welded

On this 350, I cut the whole factory deflector off in order to cut the restrive funnel out from under the screen. Heck the outlet hole was only the size of a pencil. I sure does wake these saws up.
Fabricated a complete deflector and welded it on.

That's tig with 3/32" filler. I had to just drag it in a straight line to keep the puddle connected. These thinner muffler deflectors are harder to weld. I liked the 16 gauge ones.

Dilled 5/8 hole for my MS261, used an old deflector from an old sachs.
