I felt the Husky 2100 I am currently rebuilding deserved to be able to breath.
99cc cant work well trying to push exhaust gas through a little tiny restrictive baffle ringed around the exhaust port.

It got cut out and went in the bin where all muffler baffles belong!
I then took one of the @Red97 baffles I bought and cut it to bolt onto the fantastic inspection port factory fitted to the very large muffler.

I seem to like the braze best!I need to put one on a 066 muffler, but only have access to stick welder.
last attempt resulted in holes and much grinding to repair the bird poo welding that resulted.
My next attempt will be with silver solder/braze

Kevin,Brazing works just fine, its all in the prep
Sup Kevin !Kevin,
The stainless mesh you use- are the individual wires attached or just woven? The finer stuff I used seemed to retain it's shape pretty well. I picked up some like yours and the wires near the edges seem to move and not wanna stay put. Is mine junk or is everybody's junk?
