Has anyone done a how to on the fish gill type mod?
It looks pretty straight forward. But I bet it could be screwed up easily as well.
I'm wanting to do my 261c

I would heat up that deflector with a torch real good to burn the galvanizing off because you can get really sick from it when it gets hot. The galvanizing will smoke and cause metal fumes fever. Just be careful using that stuff with heat.

Agreed! You can also grind off the galvanized coating where it will be welded. Galvanized sickness sucks! It seems very weird but if you do start to feel sick drink lots of milk.... it helps!

I chowdered the guts in this stubborn chunk of 075/076 steel.

I was lucky this came from the factory with welding that completely filled the entire area behind the flange so I was able to hog out the inside to match the exhaust. There's another next to it for comparison.

Ya its a peace of divider out of a cabinet from work Lol
just be careful when you work with galvanized stuff, I know one lad who lost all his amalgam tooth fillings, cost him about 8000$ in dentist bill.

We perform metallization at work, required fresh air mask, has been a few people who has taking the easy route and used normal mask, and paid the price with sink polution.
