It looks like you may have shifted the primary flow a bit more to the center, but there is still a fair amount of short-circuiting going on. That exhaust port just keeps wanting to pull the intake charge out of it.

Odd thought but do you use L and R cutters for the transfers? Without the jug in my hands I’d say there are discrepancies between the sides in shape, volume, angles etc. The whole temp difference is hard to swallow without some experimentation.

Looks like the flywheel side is aimed upwards more, ie: roof is not as flat, but also Making a quicker exit, bouncing off that bridge

I was thinking the lowers entrance. The floor of the upper would be very hard to get anything to stay. I’m going to brainstorm though. [emoji41]

What’s your PayPal? I’m sending you some $ for L cutters. I’m curious to see if it makes a difference for you.

I don’t want to fund the R&D as much as @Redbull661 but I think a 461 might be the one Stihl I’d be happy to own. So if I can help you out before I go balls deep with a saw that’s good for everyone.

Is that truly still 4 stroking? I can’t hear it....is there another way to know besides ear?

A 2 stroke with optimal tune won't 4 stroke. I like to tune off the plug

Right, but with diaphragm carbs, if tuned perfectly with no load, they will be lean when loaded typically? No?
Very different from dirt bike and sled carbs I believe.

It's hard to hear any 4 stroke on a saw past 15,500 or 16,000 it's possible that it's there but I can't hear it. That's why I go off of power in the cut and the plug.

Remember when you had my hybrid and I kept telling you to lean it out? I think you finally got it to 15,700

I thought you could only get good readings from a plug chop? And that is cutting ignition mid cut, not fuel. As long as the motor turns it’s sucking fuel.

If it's still sucking fuel then the plug chop means nothing right?

After a few good cuts I don't see the color changing much
